Chulu East Peak Climbing

Chulu East Peak is located in the Annapurna region of Nepal, within the Himalayas. It is one of the two Chulu peaks, the other being Chulu West Peak. Chulu East Peak is a popular destination for climbers and offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Chulu East Climbing Location:

  •  Chulu East Peak is located in the Annapurna region of Nepal, near the famous Annapurna Circuit trek.
  • It stands at an elevation of 6,584 meters (21,601 feet) above sea level. There is same name peak like Chulu west peak climbing and Chulu Far East peak. Chulu Far east peak climbing and Chulu East peak climbing use same base camp but Chulu west base camp different place then that.

Difficulty:

  • Climbing Chulu East is considered a challenging endeavor, suitable for experienced mountaineers where you need to set Camp 1 also for ascent. Many other peaks no need to set camp 1 but Chulu West peak climbing you must set camp 1 and need more days and hardest one. Technical climbing skills are required, including the use of ropes, ice axes, and crampons.

Chulu East Peak climbing Permits:

  • As with most peaks in Nepal, climbers need to obtain permits from the Nepalese government to climb Chulu East. This Climbing peak permit we provide you from Nepal mountaineering association (NMA)

Itinerary


Day 1 Arrival Kathmandu

Arrival in Kathmandu, meets the Great Panorama Treks team, takes to hotel and briefing about Peak climbing. Prepare all Chulu east Peak climbing goods and evening take Culture program dinner at Bojan Griha or Nepali Chulo.

Day 2 Kathmandu

Kathmandu prepare all climbing gear and meeting with chulu east climbing crew and plan brief.

Day 3 Drive to Dukur Pokhari

Drive to Dukur Pokhari and trek top Upper pisang start trek evening time and over night at guest house.

Day 4 Trek to Ngawal

Trekking to Ngawal village all the way Annapurna Circuit Trek and reach Ngawal for Lunch and after lunch hike up to Ngawal Ri.

Day 5 Trek to Braga

Trek to Braga and after lunch hike up to Melarepa Cave and back to Hotel Braga. Melarepa cave is one of the best hiking and historical place for trekkers and you must go there.

Day 06 Climb up to Ice lake and trek to Manang

Early morning climb up to Ice lake and trek back to Manang village and spend over nights in Manang.

Day 7 Trek to Churileddar

Trek to Churi Ledar (4,280m), past Yak Kharka (4,210m), 4 hrs.

Day 8 Trek to chulu east base camp

Trek to Chulu East Base camp 4.600 meter and overnight at tent.

Day 9 Rest Day

Rest day at chulu east base camp and save energy for chulu east climbing.

Day 10 Climb east high camp

Climbing chulu eat high camp.

Day 11 Climb up to Camp 1

Climb Chuu east camp 1 from high camp and over nights at tent.

Day 12 Ascent chulueast peak

Ascent chulu east peak and back to Chulu east Base Camp

Day 13 Reserve day

Reserve day at base camp and collect all climbing gears.

Day 14 Trek to Manang Village

Trek to Manang Village overnight at guest house.

Day 15 Drive back to Besi sahar

Drive back to Besi sahar by local jeep and overnight at Besi sahar.

Day 16 Drive back to Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 17 Farewell departure

Farewell departure to your own destination.
