Everest Dudhkoshi cultural trail

Everest Dudhkoshi cultural trail is the newly opened trekking route in lower Everest region this trail, known as the Everest Dudh Koshi Cultural trek, can be completed in six nights and seven days. Beginning from Dhap and ending in Batase 0r Kharikhola. This trails include Ghumnemera, Kudham, Yetelama, Rapcha, Majhgaun, Khastav, and Pasda Jharana, Wapsa khani Amdungkharka (Hill) this trail offers a unique cultural experience and lower altitude trekking path.

This trail was inaugurated at the end of 2023 by the Nepal tourism board, TAAN, and the local government of Mapya Dudh Koshi Rural Municipality. The development of this tourism sector, which is crucial for the national economy, required the cooperation of various stakeholders. By attracting tourists who visit the Sagarmatha area, the tourism in this region can thrive.

However, they express concern that Nepal has been unable to attract even 1 million tourists annually, despite being home to Sagarmatha and Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Furthermore, they lament the destruction of trekking routes due to the haphazard opening of road tracks and the lack of government support for tourism entrepreneurs.

Everest DudhKoshi cultural trail  on this trail tourists can also indulge in rock climbing at Mahabir Rock during this trail. Additionally, those wishing to continue their journey can visit Everest Base Camp or engage in other planned activities. Along the way, trekkers will be treated to breathtaking views of various mountain peaks, including the majestic Mt Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu, as well as numerous peaks below 8,000 meters.

Itinerary


Day 01 Arrival Kathmandu

Today you landed in Buddha birth place Nepal and our team will take you to your hotel and short trip briefing  about these trails and buy your needy things. In the evening we will take you to dinner with a cultural program at Nepali Chulo or similar. 

 

Day 02 Drive to Dhap

Drive to Dhap after your good breakfast all the way via BP high way Dhap and stay overnight there Homestay or Camping your choice. You also have the chance to shoot wonderful photos and sunset of mount Everest, Lhotse and Makalu.  

Day 03 Gumnemera

Drive to Rantange Hill and trek to Changmiteng – Ghumnemera monastery homestay overnight and you also can stay at the monastery if you request to the monk. 

Day 04 Activities Gumnemera

Today you have whole day spent there and experience with Culture program of Sherpa people and Changmiteng Gumnemera village side trip and fun. And if you are interested in rock climbing, drive to the rock climbing spot and back to Changmiteng. 

Day 05 Trek to Basa-Khali

Trek to Basa Khali all the way to Rai village and Khaling community village. You can experience the Khaling Cultural program after your arrival at Basa-Khai at your request. And if you are there luckily in Ubhauli and Udauli time you can enjoy their real cultural PUJA. 

Day 06 Trek to Amdungkharka ( Hill)

Today you will cross to the Dudh Koshi River after walking down to Wapsa khani then trek to (Amdungkharka) Hill A beautiful Sherpa village. Overnight there in Sherpa village and experience with Sherpa culture overnight at homestay. 

Day 07 Trek to Pangoma

Trek to Pangoma Sherpa village after breakfast and crossing the river of Thane Khola then climb up till Pangoma which is also a very popular trekking and climbing Mera peak track.  

 

Day 08 Trek to Paiya

Trek to Paiyan after Breakfast and visit the very famous monastery Pangoma. We trek all the way up to the Khumbu valley trails and chance to see many other mountain views and beautiful villages of Kharikhola, Jubing and Taksindu, Nunthala.  

 

Day 09 Trek to Lukla

Trek to Lukla Bazar all the way through the RatomaTe- Surke- Handigaun or we also trek through the Chhoplung and back to Lukla from there Lukla as well and wait for next morning’s wonderful flight to Kathmandu. 

 

Day 10 Flight back to Kathmandu

Flight back to Kathmandu and after arrival Kathmandu visit some tour in Kathmandu like as ( Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath Boudhanath )  

 

Day 11 Departure to Home
