Dolpa Jomsom Trek

Dolpa the unexplored paradise is one of the most remote trekking destinations. Located in the western north of Nepal near Tibet border, geographically is still within Nepal but ethnically attached to Tibet. Thus, it requires full board logistic supplies which costs quite different than the other regular trekking in Nepal.

Dolpa is encircled by immense peaks including the Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and many other mountains. This trans- Himalayan region takes you to the freezing hamlet of legendary Buddhism. The region protects one of the last leftovers of traditional Tibetan culture. Upper Dolpo Trekking can be searched as a Jomsom Dolpo trekking as well, but Jomsom to Dolpa is more difficult than required itinerary. The path passes through a calm forest and lastly to Palam; a winter settlement used by the people of Ringmo village. The houses here almost buried in the sandy soil.

Dolpo to Jomsom trek is a region of the minority of Buddhist monasteries as well as those of prey -Buddhist religion of Bon-Po. Most notably, a large region of Dolpa set apart as Shey Phoksundo National Park at 3,555 square kilometers; where you can spot Himalayan Black bear, blue sheep, leopards, wolves, and the exceptional snow leopards. Shey Monastery beyond Phoksundo Lake has turquoise blue colored water; also surrounded by dense forest and the snow-capped Himalayas.
