Gokyo Lake Everest Base Camp Trek

Gokyo Lake Everest Base Camp Trek This trek is like the high way to Everest base camp trekking route and many trekking places and this trekking route is a world high national park named Sagarmatha national park. The Gokyo Ri is also small peak high (5,660)m from they see label is peak in the Khumbu region of penal Himalayas it is located the west side of the Ngozumba glacier which is the largest glacier in Nepal which in base of Gokyo peak is small helmet of few stone house from Gokyo Ri it is possible to see 5 five 8,000 miter mountain MT Everest, Lotshe , Cho Oyu, Makalu Kanchenjunga ,and many more small mountain this trek is really popular trekking route, Ngozumba glacier just south of Tauche lake this alternative route lead over the Chola pass 5,320 m where at meet with the main route Everest base camp and Kalapathar  Blackstone.

Gokyo Lake Everest Base Camp Trek also known as Gokyo Chola Pass Trek area but nowadays we can find many casts from other religions. They came here for the business tourism sector and also they come for study with their children in Khumjung Sr Edmund Hillary school. This school has provided good education in Nepal Everest region for a long time.

We will also visit the oldest monastery Tyangbuche and Khumjung monastery in Khumjung; both monasteries are older than 1 century. The main religion is Buddhist because they are all from the east side many years ago for living here but now generations they move to another country like Europe, the US for more study and for work as well on non tourist season. Wherever they come back to this place during the high season for business tourism and local celebration. 

The main place Gokyo lake trek you can get from three ways like one trail comes from Thame  Sherpa village to Gokyo Chola Pass Trek via Renjola Pass one Trail gets from Chhukung Via Khongmala Pass and One Trail gets from Direct way from Namche, Dole and Machhermo This trek now some people do by Helicopter tour as well.

Private and single person this trip cost will be nearly 1800$ but if you join with a group then the cost will be little less.

Can I see Mt Everest from Gokyo Ri?

Wow, Mt Everest is fantastic. You can see from Gokyo ri the same as Kalapathar.

How many days will this trek be?

If you are a good fit and trekker you can do this trek within 12/13 days and if you are not good then it takes 15/16 days with acclimatization.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Nepal International Airport, takes to Hotel and welcome dinner in Nepali tradition restaurant.
Day 2 Kathmandu city tour and checking trekking gear.
Day 3 Flight from the Domestic airport to Lukla and same day trek to Phakding (2,650m).
Day 4 Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m).
Day 5 Acclimatization day at Namche.
Day 6 Trek to Phortse Tanga (3,680m).
Day 7 Trek to Machhermo (4,470m).
Day 8 Trek to Gokyo lake (4,720m).
Day 9 Sunrise Gokyo View and Trek to Thangnak (4,700m).
Day 10 Trek to Chola Pass Zongla (4,910m).
Day 11 Trek to Lobuche
Day 12 Trek to Everest Base Camp Goraksep (5,110m).
Day 13 Sunrise Kalapthar and Trek back to Dingbuche.
Day 14 Kyangjuma
Day 15 Trek back to Monjo
Day 16 Trek back to Lukla.
Day 17 Departure or own destination.
