Muktinath Tour

Muktinath situated in north-center of Nepal in the elevation of 3,800 m is a pilgrimage center for both Hindus and Buddhists Pilgrims. The five days Muktinath Tour start from Pokhara and its main objective is to ease devotees in visiting Muktinath Temple. Its main shrine is a pagoda-shaped temple dedicated to Hindu deity Vishnu. Muktinath tours offer picturesque scenery. Legends say that taking bath in the waters from 108 cow’s head spigots here guarantees salvation after death. It is also famous for Vishnu temple, ancient fossils, and Jwalamai (Goddess of Fire) Temple and natural gas jets that provide Muktinath’s famous eternal flame.

About Muktinath Temple

Muktinath word derived from Mukti and Nath; where “Mukti” suggests “Nirvana” and “Nath” suggests “God”. Muktinath holds great significance for all religious people within the South Asian sub-continent. In addition, the Hindus call it Muktichhetra (place of salvation) and are one of the 8 sacred shrines for Hindus. Thousands of Hindu and Buddhist devotees from Nepal, India and also from other different country visit the Muktinath shrine each year. Muktinath Temple opens throughout the year however particularly in Ram Navami, Rishitarpani, and through Nepali biggest festival Bijay Dashami thousands of follower congregate here to celebrate.

Muktinath trek route follows either drive (175 km takes 7/8 hrs) or flies 15 mins to Jomsom. Afterward, drive to Ranipauwa (20 km takes 1 hr) and hike for half hour to reach up to the temple. Itinerary


Day 1 Drive to Pokhara.

Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu 200 km way by bus. And in the afternoon half day sightseeing in Pokhara city.

If you take flight that takes only 20 minutes.

Day 2 Flight to jomsom

Early morning takes a 25 min flight to Jomsom and stays overnight there for acclimatize and walk around Jomsom local market and Visit Marpha apple capital.

Day 3 Drive to Muktinath

Drive to the Muktinath all the way is up hill. Takes about 1-2 hrs. Tea break on the way and overnight in Muktinath and do puja and take holy bath. Muktinath there also you can visit Some local market and trek little bit touch Annapurna circuit trek trail and enjoy with mountain view and Mustang valley.

Day 4 Drive back to Jomsom

Early morning do to the temple and after breakfast drive back to Jomsom via Kagbeni and stop there for while visit Kagbeni and after lunch drive to Jomsom overnight there.

Day 5 Flight back to Pokhara

Flight back to Pokhara and same day catch flight to Kathmandu on evening and culture program.

Day 6 Departure on destination

Departure on destination or continue next tour Kathmandu tour program or flight back to your home country.
